Study points and experience points
A year at a folk high school counts for 3 points when you apply to higher education courses in Norway, on condition that you have had at least 90 % attendance. Where acceptance onto higher education courses is based on real experience, your certificate from Øytun and your own documentation of your year can also count.

Acceptance
Our first intake is on 1 February, after which we accept participants continually until the course is full. Once the course is full new applications will be placed on a waiting list and may be offered places only after the acceptance deadline for those who have been offered places runs out.
Applicants who have completed the first year studies at Øytun (Foto og friluftsliv) or Ålands Folkhögskola (Naturfoto-friluftsliv) are given first priority. Those who are offered a place will receive a letter of acceptance, including more information about economy, course content, necessary equipment etc.
