Workshop reindeer - next course to be announced In September when the colors of autumn is peaking in Finnmark, the Lapps move with their herds of reindeer from the coast to the inland. In this workshop we travel to the places where they gather their animals. Here we get close both to the Lappish culture and the reindeers. Even good opportunity for colorful landscapes. We live in tents or lavvo (tipi-like tent) 2 - 3 nights close to the action. Also daytrip with landscape photography. After trips we digitally develop our pictures and make them ready for feedback and comments. Other subjects; Photo-reporting, composition, digital imaging, analyzing images and more. Course runs from 24. Sept 14.00 to 29. Sept 08.30. Price NOK 5.750,- (single) food and acc incl. Also transportation after arrival Øytun, Alta is included. You need warm outdoor clothing and digital camera (SLR) and tripod, sleeping bag and mat. Enrolment before 30. August 2007. Enrolment fee: NOK 1200,- (This will be deducted from course fee when you arrive). Wordwide travel insurance is requried. You can travel to Alta by plane. Non-stop flights from Oslo takes you to Alta in 2 hrs. (Norwegian and SAS Braathens). From the airport in Alta you can order a taxi to the school, or we can arrange for a pickup. Workshop arctic light - blue light - next course to be announced  When we reach the first days of December and the sun is well under the horizon here at 70 degrees north - something magic happens! It is not completly dark. Alta becomes nirvana for nature photographers. Long hours with blue light of the Arctic, ice and frost smoke over the sea. And good possibility for the Arctic light - Aurora Borealis!Alta has a long history as a place for scientist to observe Arctic light - starting in the beginning of last century. We will do the same thing with our modern cameras - seeking sea reflections and great landscape to match the light. After each day-trip we work with our files in the computer lab, and show our material to get response from each other. Course runs from 29. Nov 14.00 to 4. Dec 12.00. Price NOK 6.350,- (dbl) food and acc incl.. Also transportation after arrival Øytun, Alta is included. 6 days workshop and photocourse late May at Øytun folkehøgskole, Alta, Norway, with 3 days trip to a Puffin bird colony at one special island. We will give you exiting days and a wonderful experience with a lot of photo oppurtuneties. This island has probably most different bird spieces of all similar nesting-places in Norway. In addition; the landscape is also great! The timing is also good: in mid June the bird activity is peaking and the nature looks green and fine, but mostly - the light is the best with midnight sun and 24h photography. We also visit another area with a gannet colony.
